challenge

Ankama needed a low-latency, resilient connection with multiple redundancy options during their AWS migration project. They planned to migrate bandwidth-intensive workloads that required massive capacity.

Cloud Connect provided Ankama with dedicated, private connectivity to AWS using Telia Carrier's IP backbone. Their high performance demands were met and seamlessly scaled through the project with guaranteed bandwidth.

The customer was an existing Telia Carrier connectivity customer without a subscription to the DDoS mitigation service. It was the first time they experienced a serious attack on their network.

solution

Telia Carrier was alerted by the customer and rapidly activated DDoS mitigation to stop the direct attack. The time to mitigation was extremely fast due to the advanced technology used and global protection coverage scaled by Telia Carrier's IP backbone.

CHALLENGE

Network engineers faced complex challenges to manage multi-cloud extensibility with existing cloud connections.  With stringent performance demands from DevOps and other key users across the organization, they needed to scale a consistent network experience across all cloud providers.
