Years with QTS: Since November 2023, but from a Zentrys perspective, we have been working with QTS as an outsourced FM provider since 2018.
What does a day in your position look like?
Currently, my days are quite dynamic as I am involved in various workstreams ranging from finance to development, and from facilities operations to project management and business development. As part of the integration planning of Zentrys into the QTS org chart in the coming period, I will be focusing more on business development in Northern Europe.
What is your favorite part of working for QTS?
Even during the phase when Zentrys was still a contractor, people were incredibly kind and respectful towards us. Now, as a fully integrated member of the team, I appreciate this even more. The culture, the support for communities, the mindset of accomplishing unprecedented tasks – being a part of that is truly rewarding.
What most excites you as QTS continues to expand in Europe?
While others are still contemplating how to proceed, QTS is already taking action. This mirrors the growth witnessed over the past three years in the US, and I firmly believe that the surge observed there is just the beginning in Europe.
What passions do you have inside and outside of the office?
I have a passion for development, both professionally and personally. I enjoy identifying opportunities, bridging gaps, nurturing talent, and bringing ideas to fruition. Outside the office, I’ve dedicated myself to building my own small lakehouse where my family and I spend quality time together.
What does a perfect day outside of the office look like for you?
A perfect day outside of the office involves spending time with my wife, our 10-year-old daughter, and friends. Ideally, we’d be by the waterfront windsurfing or sailing on a sunny day. For those familiar with the Netherlands, you know that we have many waterways, but unfortunately, sunny days are a rarity.
