What does a day in your position look like?
I generally am involved in any of the critical maintenances going on, oversee any critical switching of the existing data centers and for the new data centers that are coming online. I help plan and implement new customer onboards and help insure that our existing customers’ needs are met. I am currently involved with the planning of replacement of the aging infrastructure which is nearing end of life. I am also tasked with investigating and addressing any issues that were identified by our 24-hour shift personnel.
What is your favorite part of working for QTS?
My favorite part of working at QTS is the team in which I get to work with. I also like the challenge of trouble-shooting and figuring out solutions to problems which may occur.
As a veteran, how do you recognize Veteran’s Day?
Being named MVP for 2023 was a shock for me to say the least. I work among some great men and women who do an outstanding job each and every day here at QTS. To be recognized by the leadership team here at ATL1 is very humbling and I am proud to have the opportunity to work for such great leaders. I am very grateful to have been chosen as the MVP and I know some of my co-workers were very deserving of the award also. I am glad to work for a company who recognizes the behind the scenes work that goes on each day in the Facilities-Operations department.
What passions do you have inside and outside of the office?
I have a wife and two daughters who I love going camping and hiking with. I am also an avid fisherman and love to fish with friends and co-workers.
What are you most excited for in 2024?
With the growth of the new AI projects just taking off I am excited to help build solutions for the issues associated with the new demands. Also, with the growing demand for water cooled server racks, being able to plan and build solutions around this technology. I am also excited to deliver another year of great service to each customer we have in the ATL1 campus.
