What is your favorite part of working for QTS?
My favorite part about working for QTS is our “Team-Oriented” approach to solving problems. Everyone is willing to help you regardless of whether a problem you’re addressing involves them personally.
Tell us about your time in the QTS Leadership Development Program (QLDP) program. What was one major highlight?
I spent sixteen months in QLDP and had the chance to observe and interact with multiple organizations in that time. The program is great because it gives you time to gain insight into QTS at a macro level while also allowing you to see how various teams are tackling tactical problems such as process creation and improvement during this high-growth chapter in the company.
One major highlight during my time in QLDP was when I attended a Town Hall Meeting in Fayetteville, Georgia back in February, 2023. I was amazed at how well the QTS Team did in responding to the concerns brought forth by a small but vocal group of locals. It showcased how dynamic and complex data center developments can be and how we overcome those challenges.
What passions do you have inside and outside of the office?
Inside the office, I enjoy getting to know other QTSers and hearing about their backgrounds and what brought them to QTS. It’s easy to do since we’ve experienced so much headcount growth in the past few years, especially in the Irving office.
Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife, two boys and dog. Our activities range from short walks around our neighborhood, going to the playground or taking a day trip to either Dallas or Ft Worth.
What does a perfect day outside of the office look like for you?
A perfect day for me starts with an early workout before the rest of the family wakes up. After that, I’d drink a cup or two of my favorite brand of Kona-style coffee. Shortly after that, my wife and I would take our kids to the pool where we’d play with them and relax. Sometime in the afternoon I’d fire up my Weber and showoff my skills, most likely grilling hamburgers and hotdogs. At the end of the day I’d take everyone to Braums for some ice cream.
