The QTS Community Impact Program enriches the lives of our employees and members of our local communities by providing financial support, technology, and manpower to benefit local programs and agencies. In addition, we expand our community impact beyond our areas of operation through our success-based giving programs by partnering with organizations like American Forests, World Vision, and the U.S. Dream Academy.
American Forests has been a world leader in restoring forests for over 140 years. For every 100kW contracted, we plant 1 tree each month, per customer. Since the beginning of the program in late 2019, Grow with QTS has donated over 165,000 trees across the United States to help with forest fire restoration, restoration of stripped mine land, and forests and forest animal habitats reestablishment.
World Vision is a global leader in humanitarian efforts, including clean water access. In 2020, we committed to provide clean drinking water for every 100kW contracted for the life of each customer contract. Since the inception of the program, the World Vision partnership with QTS has provided access to clean drinking water to over 37,000 people for a year, funding 13 different water points in places such as Kenya, Uganda and Burundi.
Our commitment to enhancing the future and prosperity for society has led QTS to partner with the U.S. Dream Academy, a non-profit focused on helping children reach for their dreams. Founded in 1998, the U.S. Dream Academy is a national after-school program that aims to break the cycle of intergenerational incarceration. Since the start of this success-based partnership, we have sponsored 59 children giving them access to mentorship programs.
