Meet our team

Tag Greason is the Co-Chief Executive Officer of QTS, a digital infrastructure leader in designing, building and operating sustainable data centers with 75 data centers in operation or under development across the United States and Europe. QTS provides mission critical infrastructure solutions to Fortune 1000 enterprises, government agencies and the largest technology companies in the world, with an annual leasing revenue of more than $3 billion and total contracted power capacity eclipsing 3 gigawatts.

In collaboration with Co-Chief Executive Officer David Robey, Tag oversees all aspects of QTS in service to its people, customers and communities. He brings 25 years of industry experience driving business growth and value creation and developing deep customer relationships. Tag is recognized for his business acumen, strategic mindset and visionary leadership.

Tag joined QTS in 2011 and most recently served as Chief Growth Officer, leading all external activities, customer engagement and European expansion. Prior to QTS, he was the Executive Vice President for Current Analysis, Inc. and Vice President of Global Services at Savvis Communications, Inc.

He has a storied background in public service. Tag served in both the United States Army and the Virginia Army National Guard. In 2009, Tag was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates and served in the role for eight years. During his tenure, he was appointed to the House committees on Appropriations, Education, Finance, and Science and Technology and was selected as one of eight conferees responsible for negotiating the Commonwealth’s budget. In this role, Tag consistently balanced the state’s budget with a focus on both strategic growth, contingency planning, and problem solving.

As a veteran, he is committed to championing military support organizations, including Stop Soldier Suicide. Tag serves as the Vice Chair of E3: Elevate Early Education, an organization that creates innovative initiatives to give children access to high-quality education for their first eight years. He is also dedicated to advocating for kids with autism spectrum disorder.

He earned an M.B.A. from George Mason University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in systems engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.

David Robey is the Co-Chief Executive Officer of QTS, a digital infrastructure leader in designing, building and operating sustainable data centers with 75 data centers in operation or under development across the United States and Europe. QTS provides mission critical infrastructure solutions to Fortune 1000 enterprises, government agencies, and the largest technology companies in the world, with an annual leasing revenue of more than $3 billion and total contracted power capacity eclipsing 3 gigawatts.

In collaboration with Co-Chief Executive Officer Tag Greason, David oversees all aspects of QTS in service to its people, customers and communities. He brings 30 years of industry experience in critical environment engineering, facilities and operations management, and technology development. He is recognized for his authentic servant leadership, genuine care for people and customer service, and unwavering commitment to quality and excellence.

David joined QTS in 2010 and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all aspects of development and facility operations, supporting customer delivery while maintaining operational excellence. Prior to QTS, David held multiple technology leadership roles at Infineon/Qimonda, a global semiconductor manufacturing company.

David is committed to upholding and living out QTS’s core values, including our focus on faith, family and community. He is passionate about causes dedicated to helping children and veterans and their families. This commitment is consistent with QTS’s culture of service, which emphasizes making a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.

David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from Missouri State University.

Brent Bensten joined QTS in 2016 and serves as the company’s Chief Technology Officer. Brent leads technology and innovation and is a driving force behind digitization of the QTS business. During his time at QTS, he has delivered the industry’s first Service Delivery Platform (SDP). 

Prior to QTS, Brent was VP of Operations and then promoted to Chief Technology Officer at Carpathia, a managed service and cloud company acquired by QTS in June 2015. In 2019, he created the QTS Innovation Lab (QIL) to create new enabling technologies with a focus on artificial intelligence, visualization and automation that radically reshape how customers interact with a data center. 

Brent earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Mary Washington. 

Jeff Berson joined QTS in 2013 and serves as Chief Financial Officer. Jeff has more than 20 years of investment banking experience, much of it within emerging infrastructure in the technology sector, including data centers, managed services, enabling communications technologies, and fiber providers. 

Prior to QTS, Jeff served as a managing director in UBS’ Media and Communications Group, focused primarily on the communications infrastructure and the telecommunications services sectors. He also previously served as head of the Communications Services Investment Banking Group at Oppenheimer & Co., managing director in the Telecom Group at Barclays Capital and held various positions within the investment banking department at CIBC World Markets. 

Jeff earned an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Barry Clegg joined QTS in June 2024 and serves as Chief Safety and Infrastructure Officer. Barry oversees Global Utilities Development & Operations, Global Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), Global Quality and U.S. Procurement. He drives organizational and operational resiliency in support of Property Development’s growth and continuous improvement in QTS’s safety culture. Before his current role, Barry served as Chief Development Officer, responsible for all pre-development, development and substation activities.

Prior to QTS, Barry was President of Operations for Black & Veatch, focused on global operations, strategic priorities in the market sector and solutions leadership. During his tenure at Black & Veatch, Barry also served as project director and in various management roles within development.

Barry earned a Master’s degree from Kansas State University and a Bachelor’s degree from MidAmerica Nazarene University.

Jon Greaves joined QTS in 2015 and serves as Executive Vice President of Quality Special Operations, which includes developing QTS’s Converged Security program and QTS Federal.  

Prior to QTS, Jon was the Chief Scientist and CISO at Carpathia, a managed services and cloud company acquired by QTS in June of 2015. Before Carpathia, Jon was a Distinguished Engineer and CTO of Sun Global Customer Services organization.  Jon has received 7 patents in the fields of telemetry, managed services and security solutions. Jon has also held positions at SevenSpace, British Telecom, MCI and Concert.

 

Adam Haubenreich joined QTS in 2023 as General Counsel with a focus on building the legal team to meet the needs of customers and internal clients as well as accommodating for the company’s rapid growth. His many years of experience include complex corporate transactions and financing, including mergers and acquisitions. 

Prior to QTS, Adam served as the executive vice president and general counsel of Custom Truck One Source, Inc. which included specializing in heavy equipment solutions for customers in various industries. He also previously served as a corporate partner at the multinational level firm Baker Botts, LLP, where he worked with private equity and public companies covering the power, oil and gas, and telecommunications industries. 

Adam earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame. 

Ryan Hunter joined QTS in 2017 and serves as Chief Operations Officer. Ryan oversees all Development, Design, Engineering and Facility Operations for the U.S. and Europe. In addition, he is responsible for Europe Pre-Development and Procurement. Since 2023, Ryan served as EVP, Facilities Operations, driving all infrastructure and operations of QTS facilities and ensuring reliability, efficiency and safety, and before that he was VP, Facilities Operations.

Ryan brings 25 years of experience in mission critical operations to his role at QTS. Prior to QTS, Ryan was Director, Facilities Support at vXchnge where he was responsible for the maintenance, operations and overall management of the company’s facilities. He also served in facilities management roles at Equinix and Switch and Data.

Ryan served as Leading Petty Officer, Reactor Electrical Division in the United States Navy for eight years and completed Naval Nuclear Power School as an Operator and Electrician during his service.

Shelagh Montgomery joined QTS in 2006 when the company purchased data center company Globix and data centers in Santa Clara and New York/New Jersey. She has vast sales leadership experience. Her business acumen, love of people, and business leadership experience allow her to serve as the Chief People Officer. 

Prior to QTS, Shelagh worked in internet and data center sales for over 20 years, leading sales teams for Globix, Digex, and PSInet. Before being promoted to her current role, she served as the Executive Vice President of Strategic Client Management, responsible for existing customer relationships and revenue growth and retention. 

Shelagh earned an M.B.A. from Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Science degree from Barnard College.

Madison Williams joined QTS in 2013 and serves as Chief Investment Officer. Madison has more than 20 years of real estate investment experience. Madison oversees the U.S. & European Investment, Real Estate and Site selection teams, along with U.S. Pre-Development and Development Capital management. He structures asset level leasing, financing and management decisions and drives all major lease and expansion projects from a capital perspective. Since 2019, Madison served as Executive Vice President of Real Estate and Investments at QTS.

Prior to QTS, Madison worked in investment real estate at a number of Atlanta-based real estate capital markets and development firms including most recently Patterson Real Estate Advisory Group.

Madison earned an M.B.A. from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia.
