QTS Data Centers (QTS) today announced it has continued its partnership with the Greater Manassas Baseball League by contributing $15,000 to support the 16-18 team’s travel to the Senior Babe Ruth World Series in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. This is the second year in a row that the team made it to the World Series and the second year in a row that QTS has supported the team’s travel to the tournament.

“We were proud to cheer on the Greater Manassas Baseball League team in the World Series last year and were excited to support them again this year,” said Senior Vice President of Community Impact at QTS Data Centers Dave Murray. “We value our relationships with the Northern Virginia community and were pleased to be able to help these players and their families make the trip.”

After winning the Southeast Regional Championship, the local Virginia 16-18 team competed in the Senior Babe Ruth World Series, which started on August 8 and ended on August 16. Last year, the team competed in the tournament for the first time in the league’s over 65-year history. This year represents an important milestone as it was the final competition for some of the players. Many are heading off to college and other pursuits in the fall.

“Our players were excited to participate in the World Series and compete against players from the U.S. and other countries,” said Greater Manassas Baseball League Coach Bill Laughman. “We are grateful to partner with QTS for the second year in a row to make this dream a reality and provide a great end to an amazing run for many of these boys.”

QTS Data Centers has an extensive history of championing its local communities, supporting over 220 charitable organizations that focus on issues including renewable environmental resources, public health improvement, and education and mentorship in 2023. Last year, QTS employees also served over 12,600 volunteer hours, 157 percent of the company’s set goal.
