Community Engagement

We give back to the communities where we live and work

QTS connects the world with purpose, not just through our innovative data centers, but through our community programs. In line with our core values, we engage in a wide range of volunteer opportunities, community outreach and community partnerships to help others in need in the U.S. and around the globe.

Community Pillars

We are committed to uplifting the communities in which we live, work and operate

QTS is a responsible neighbor

As a conscientious, purpose-driven organization, we engage the community with our best-in-class standards for site development, construction and operations.

QTS helps grow the local economy

As community partners, we bring an ecosystem of jobs, tax revenue and economic development tailored to the community’s needs.

QTS advances sustainability

As stewards of the environment, we prioritize carbon-free energy sources, water conservation and sustainable practices.

QTS supports community prosperity

As caring citizens, we contribute time, talent and resources to local programs and agencies to enrich our communities and help improve lives.

We empower QTS employees to make a positive impact in our communities

QTS lives out our value of Faith, Family and Community Volunteerism by offering site-based and company-wide volunteer opportunities year-round. Every employee gets four paid volunteer days. QTS’s Matching Gifts Program also amplifies employees’ personal donations to eligible nonprofits.

Leaven Kids

With the commissioning of every new data center, we fund children’s participation in Leaven Kids annual programs, fostering a broader reach and support for educational opportunities among young learners.

In our inaugural quarter, we sponsored seven children, representing the seven data centers commissioned in 2023.

One Tree Planted

Our partnership with One Tree Planted fosters a greener planet by combating deforestation, mitigating climate change and promoting biodiversity through global tree planting and restoration efforts.

U.S. Dream Academy

We partner with the U.S. Dream Academy to empower children of incarcerated parents and vulnerable youth through after-school programs and learning centers, offering them hope for a brighter future.

In 2023, we sponsored 19 children – for a total of 59 supported children since the beginning of the partnership in 2021.

World Vision

We collaborate with World Vision to provide clean drinking water to children and communities for every 100kW that is contracted for the life of each customer contract.

Since 2020, QTS and our customers have funded 13 water points, providing 4,667 people in impoverished countries with a lifetime supply of accessible, clean water.
