PISCATAWAY, NJ EXPANSION PROGRESS
Here’s an update on our latest data center expansion in Piscataway, NJ! We held a Topping Out ceremony onsite with our construction partners in August 2022.
A Topping Out ceremony is traditionally a major milestone in the progression of a construction project. “Topping Out” refers to the installation of the final piece of structure on a building.
We’ve started pre-casting and roofing last month as well. With over 21,000 site hours worked, this additional space and power will provide our customers the growth they desire in New Jersey’s most operationally mature data center. We’re slated to complete this project in 2023. Take a look!
ASHBURN-SHELLHORN DC1 & DC2 PROGRESS
Over in Ashburn, Virginia, our Ashburn-Shellhorn facility is now substantially completed, featuring two 42 megawatt facilities with modularly-deployed power designs and an expandable, adjacent substation.
The first data center, DC1 was completed in March of 2021 and the second data center, DC2 was completed in September 2022.
This campus features 24 acres, 84+ MW current planned campus capacity, and purpose-built data centers utilizing our Freedom Standard building design. Both buildings are equipped with dual loading docks to provide optimal logistical efficiency, and oversized hallways to provide ease of equipment movement. Our Ashburn-Shellhorn data center also features dedicated EV charging spots and 24-hour security.
