Award celebrates major investment as QTS connects with local suppliers at Cambois Meet the Buyer event.
The Northumberland County Council and QTS were honored to receive the Economic Development Award at the Local Government Chronicle Awards 2025 in London on June 12th. This award recognizes UK’s largest single inward investment and highlights the development of one of Europe’s largest data center campuses in Cambois, which will drive significant economic growth.
Earlier this year, the Northumberland County Council approved QTS’s plans to develop a data center campus in Cambois marking a significant milestone for the project. Construction is expected to begin in late 2025.
QTS is committed to the communities where we operate. We are excited to partner with local organizations and support the Cambois community by investing in technical skills, creating employment opportunities, and forming nonprofit partnerships.
As part of our commitment to local engagement, QTS hosted a Meet the Buyer event on July 1st that provided local businesses with an opportunity to learn more about our development and campus plans. It was a great chance to connect with community members and explore further partnerships to promote economic development in Cambois. Meet the Buyer events will continue to be held as the project continues to develop, strengthening the relationships and expanding the portfolio of local business partnerships with QTS in Cambois.
