Our data centers generate hundreds of millions of dollars in tax revenue for local communities. This revenue goes to advancing community initiatives and making a real impact.
Our data centers bring an ecosystem of construction, manufacturing and technology jobs, while also generating revenue and job demand for furnishing and equipping, security and maintenance vendors and other on-site support companies.
For every job directly created by a data center, there are six other jobs that are supported elsewhere in the U.S. economy, according to a recent PwC report commissioned by the Data Center Coalition. The total job contribution grew by 60 percent between 2017 and 2023. The study also found that between 2017 and 2023 the industry’s total fiscal support to federal, state and local governments increased from $66.2 billion to $162.7 billion.
QTS has workforce development programs that create pathways to high-quality technology careers, strengthen local talent pipelines and attract more high-wage employers to our communities.
We currently operate programs in Virginia, Georgia, Arizona, Illinois and Cambois, UK, with plans to expand into additional markets.

QTS partners with Community Colleges in Phoenix to kickstart the Data Center Operations Certificate Program expanding opportunities for high-paying jobs for upcoming talent in the data center industry.
