In 2019, we purchased two data centers in Groningen and Eemshaven in the Netherlands. Located in the largest city in northern Netherlands and home to many tech companies, QTS Groningen provides multiple megawatts available immediately, with power and connectivity in place. Similarly, QTS Eemshaven provides immediate 16MW of availability in Data Center 1 with a roadmap to contiguous on-campus growth in a fiber- and power-rich area.
In November 2023, we acquired Zentrys, further building the foundation for our overall European expansion strategy. Zentrys, a Netherlands-based data center management and operations company, grew our team in the Netherlands quickly, as we onboarded employees and integrate the company with QTS technology and processes.
Most recently, we have established an office in London, allowing us to expand our recruiting efforts and continue to build upon our European expansion. Currently, we have open positions in our UK office and Netherlands Data Centers.
As our growth continues overseas, we are excited to see the continued success of QTS Europe.
